Challenge Matamata has signed up as our Ladies Team sponsor for another three years. The team (above) modeled their 2011 kit before last Sunday's match against Cambridge.

Peter Vossen Builders Matamata Swifts
have pulled off the shock result of the weekend in beating Auckland giants, Eastern Suburbs, at Madill's Farm. It was Matamata's first win in Auckland this season. A late strike from Mike Beard sealed the points in a game of few chances. The Swifts needed this result to give themselves a chance of avoiding the relegation play-offs. More here...

Metso Matamata Swifts Reserves finished the season with a credible performance in losing 2-1 to Federation 2 league winners, AFC Fury. Blair Van Waveren scored for Matamata. The Matamata Club Swifts 3rds lost 9-3 in a real goalfest against Eastern Suburbs. Jamie Cox scored his third hat trick of the season for the 3rds.

On Sunday the Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies were defeated 3-2 by Cambridge in their final game at the Domain for 2010. Nat Gaskell scored twice for the ladies. The Swifts Sunday Team defeated Saudi Team 2-1 and the victory secured them the WSSL division 2 title. They travel to Hamilton in search of the double this Sunday as they contest the Scottish Cup final.
