| matamataswifts.co.nz was updated and relaunched on December 29, 2010. For the techies among you, we did this as we wanted to move away from our previous frames-based layout to a more traditional layout. This had the potential to be a massive undertaking, so we took a few short cuts. Instead of migrating every single page across to the new layout, we left this site in its present state. This will allow you to link to all our old information. Some of these pages can be accessed as external links from the new site as well. Coach of the Year Swifts coach, Duncan Lowry, has been named the Matamata Piako District Sports Coach of the Year at the recent awards evening. Up against eight other nominess from seven different sports, Lowry was the clear winner following his efforts with the Swifts this year. Well done Duncs! Situations Vacant Matamata Swifts AFC is looking for suitable candidates to fill three coaching positions: Director of Coaching, Challenge Matamata Swifts Ladies team coach and Metso Matamata Swifts reserve team coach.
