Matamata Swifts have defeated Te Awamutu 10-0 in their latest pre-season friendly. The goals were spread evenly across the four 30 minutes periods of a game played on another sweltering summer afternoon. Andrew Cooper, Mike Beard and Simon Arther each grabbed a brace - their first goals for the club - while Tim Miller also scored twice. Jon Allen and Andrew Taylor rounded out the scoring.

New Signings Matamata Swifts AFC are pleased to announce the signing of three new faces for the 2010 football season. Bevan Woltersdorf has made the move from Taupo and is joined at the Swifts by William Mason (from Rotorua United) and Andrew Cooper (from Tauranga Boys College).
